Ac. is a highly trained and experienced practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, bringing over ten years of dedicated acupuncture experience to Pittsburgh Physical Medicine. She received her M.D. and O.M.D. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine) in China, building a strong foundation in both Western and Eastern medical traditions, and is certified and licensed through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the Pennsylvania Medical Board.
Using the WHO-recognized modalities of acupuncture, acupressure, herbology, nutrition, and qigong, Dr. Yu treats a wide range of conditions — including headaches, stress and anxiety, digestive issues, muscle and joint pain, and more — working alongside our chiropractic and physical therapy team to give you well-rounded, whole-body care. Every treatment uses sterile, single-use disposable needles.
Medical Acupuncture visits are billed through insurance. Self-pay pricing is available for patients not using insurance. All 60-minute appointments include exam plus treatment, and may include acupuncture, cupping, and some massage.
